Why does Heartify take a pulse from inanimate objects?
Don’t worry if you notice Heartify accidentally detecting a pulse on something other than your finger. Because the PPG technology picks up light changes, it can sometimes fire even on inanimate objects. However, the difference is that Heartify measurements are heavily optimized for use with your index finger where it is meant to give accurate results.
